Drive Up Appeal May 25, 2009
Sure you can’t always judge book by its cover but stand back and view your home as if you were seeing it for the first time. This is the first impression a buyer will get of your home. Is the yard tidy & free of debris, garbage & pet droppings? Are the fences & gates in good repair? What stands out? Are your buyers going to see a red door and want to paint it black? Make sure visitors can clearly read your house number. Depending on the season you may want to have colourful and attractive flowers or a festive door wreath to greet buyers, a clean and inviting door mat, new and shiny door handles and/or knockers, a freshly painted door in a neutral color that compliments the home can be quick and easy pleasantries. Pressure washing the siding, windows, driveway and sidewalks can also add to the appeal.
Summer is heating up & it’s the perfect time to tackel those out door home repairs. I would be happy to make some suggestions on how to improve your homes curb side appeal, contact me any time at 780.487.4847 or check out the blog for tips on how to ready your home for sale today.
